Curriculum vitae
Niels Koeman (born 1949) has been a member of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure since 2012. He is a former councillor of the Council of State, the Dutch government’s highest advisory body; a lawyer in Amsterdam, specialising in environmental and spatial planning law; and a part-time professor at the University of Amsterdam. He currently works as an independent legal adviser. In addition, he holds an unpaid ancillary position as a member of the Council of State’s climate expertise group Expertisekring Klimaat.
