Fourth term (2024-2028) of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure (Rli) officially started

The fourth term (2024-2028) of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure (Rli) had its official start on 1 August 2024. Dr Jan Jacob van Dijk has been appointed chair of the Rli. Meet the council members and junior council members.

Jan Jacob van Dijk will become the new chairman of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure (Rli).

Jan Jacob van Dijk appointed new chairman of Council for the Environment and Infrastructure

16 February 2024 – The Council of Ministers approved his appointment at the proposal of the caretaker Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Mark Harbers. Van Dijk succeeds Jan Jaap de Graeff, whose term of office is expiring. The appointment will apply for the Rli's fourth Council term (2024-2028) and will take effect on 1 August 2024.

Work Programme for 2024-2025 adopted

The Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW), Mark Harbers, submitted the Council's Work Programme for 2024-2025 to the Dutch House of Representatives on 20 December 2023, doing so also on behalf of the Ministers of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), Economic Affairs and Climate (EZK), Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV), and Climate and Energy, and the State Secretaries for IenW and Kingdom Relations and Digitalisation (K&D).

Bridging the Implementation Gap
