André van der Zande (born 1952) has been a member of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure since 2017. He is a former director-general of the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and former secretary-general of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. Mr van der Zande holds unpaid ancillary positions as deputy chair of the board of the Nature for Health (NFH) foundation, and as chair of the Dutch National Database Flora and Fauna (NDFF) foundation.
