Jan Jacob van Dijk (born 1964) has been the Chair of the Council since 1 August 2024. He is deputy chair of the Netherlands Commission for Environmental Assessment (NCEA) and the Ecological Authority, chair of the Supervisory Board of the Onze Huisartsen GPs organisation, chair of the Energy System Implementation Consultation body, advisor to the Council for the National Programme Regional Energy Strategy (NP RES), and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation for Curriculum Development (SLO). He is also an (unpaid) member of the editorial board of Christen Democratische Verkenning.
