Krijn Poppe (born 1955) has been a member of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure since 2016. Until summer 2020, he was research manager and senior economist at Wageningen Economic Research (WUR). His work there mainly involved policy-relevant research and advising the Dutch government and the European Commission. From 2009 to 2011, Mr Poppe served as chief science officer of the then Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. He is also the co-owner of an arable farm and gives occasional advice to various organisations.
