In addition to serving as a member of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure, Mart Lubben (born 1991) also works as a Transition Consultant at Quintel Intelligence. Prior to that, he gained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Ecology at Delft University of Technology and Leiden University. His thesis examined evolutionary mechanisms in complex socio-technological systems. He previously gained a bachelor degree in biology, specialising in biodiversity, ecosystems, environmental studies and evolution. His other activities included serving as the chairman of Morgen (a network of local student organisations and national volunteer organisations devoted to sustainable development), as press and publicity officer of the umbrella organisation for student associations in Leiden, as spokesman for Groene Generatie (an organisation promoting sustainability in the education sector), and as a biology teacher.
