Renée Bergkamp (born 1959) has been a member of the Council since 1 August 2024. She was provincial secretary/general manager in the province of Noord-Holland until spring 2023. Prior to that, she was director of the National Association of Water Companies in the Netherlands (Vewin) and chair of the Arable Products Board. Within central government, she has held various directorial positions and was Director-General at the ministries of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and Economic Affairs. She currently holds (paid) ancillary positions as a supervisor, advisor, and supervisory director of various organisations in the domains of agriculture/food, water, and energy.
